Dementia care

ATcare atlas homeA range of products to provide peace of mind for people with dementia and their carers for use at home, in residential care settings and when out and about. All the products provide additional ways to support people with dementia to live as independently as possible with safety in mind.              

 

Automist

Automist projectATcare is working with Plumis to assist the introduction of the Automist fire suppressant system to people living in sheltered accommodation and residential facilities who may have reduced mobility and are at greater risk from fires in the home. The retro-fittable kitchen-based system provides additional time to escape fires.

 

Squibble

ATcare Squibble project

Squibble is an exciting and innovative new design for a portable Braille interface. ATcare is working with Squibble's inventor to further develop the product, which is designed to provide tactile, audio and high contrast visual feedback for the blind and visually impaired.                                            

 

Simple music player

ATcare SMPMusic has long been used for its therapeutic value. But people with mild to moderate dementia may find conventional music players too complex to use. The Simple Music Player is being developed following extensive research by BIME to allow people with cognitive impairment to independently enjoy music.

 

FlexyFoot

FlexyFoot projectATcare is working with FlexyFoot to provide consumer trials during the development of the FlexyFoot ferrule.  The FlexyFoot product is an innovative new ferrule that has been designed to provide improved shock absorption, rotation and grip at any angle, to benefit users of all types of walking equipment.
